My next plan of action was to find out how they were doing this. Was it simply through a bunch of joint ventures? Maybe it was because they were already established and they have a huge list to promote to I thought.

I was even more astonished at what I found to be true.

It wasn't their big lists that were selling them 250 copies of their premium products in 24-48 hours. It wasn't even their joint ventures, it was their plan. You see, they had a very specific start to finish launch day plan that started two weeks before their product was even ready to go, and ended two weeks afterwards. So after almost 7 years of asking questions, and over $38,000 of testing later, I finally figured out what was going on.
Here's what I found out.

Now that you have built a great site, you will want people to be able to easily find and visit your site. One way to do this is to just give them the address (such www.nameofyourwebsitehere.com or yoursite.weebly.com) so that they can go there directly.
But, of course, that only works for the people to whom you have a close enough connection to give an address. All people will find your site on search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo. How can you optimize your site to make sure you show up as high as possible in search engine rankings?
Start with the basics. Read our description, title and keywords article to learn how / why to add this information to all pages of your site.
While you do this, keep in mind that the keywords are not made of magic (this is explained further in the article Keywords aid linked above). Just because you add keywords to your site does not mean the search engines will find you through keyword. If life was easy, we would all be rich and retire to a private island on our own now.

Is your site relevant only to people in a certain area? Write "Visit the San Francisco showroom" better than writing "Come see our showroom."
Use alt-text for your images. This does not work in our gallery or slideshow, but you can add alt-text to the usual image by clicking on it and use the Advanced option on the toolbar. Get other sites to link back to your site. The more sites that link to your own site (as a general rule), I better trust your site to be worthwhile. Think of other people linking back to your site as a word-of-mouth that says not only others to check out your site, but it tells the search engine to do the same.
Nothing is more important to your rankings of other sites linking to you, but there is no get-rich-fast method to get links back to your site. Build compelling content and let people know it's there. Just like building a business takes work and time and effort to build traffic to your website takes work and time and effort.
Link to your own site from other sites that you may have (such as Twitter or Facebook profile). If you have an email newsletter, the archives via your email provider's website so that your newsletter itself acts as the other sites are linking to you.
Maintain Blog. A blog allows you to keep adding content to your site. Search engines like to see new content on your site. Read our Blog Create articles to learn how to build a blog with Weebly.
Make a reasonable goal. If you are a photographer, you will not appear in the top search results for the photographer. If you are a florist, you will not appear in the top search results for flowers or Mother's Day.
But if you are a photographer in San Francisco, you could potentially get to the top of the list for Headshot Photographers San Francisco. If you are a florist in London, you can work to get a good search ranking for Valentine's Day Flowers, London. Focus on that. Focus on getting your site appears in the search for your own name. Try to get the attention of bloggers who have written about your business. Encourage visitors to review your business in places like Yelp.com.
